It's Almost Easter!

Hey Everybody! I know it has been a little while now since I have had a chance to update at all. I've been working quite a lot this past week and have had very little time for anything else.

Just letting everyone in the Montgomery County area and surrounding know that tomorrow will be the Easter Egg Hunt!  It had to be postponed due to the rain situation last weekend!  Although tomorrow may be a bit overcast, it's expected to be a nice day. The high is supposed to reach 76 degrees, so come on out and bring those pooches!  ALL BREEDS are welcome! I will be there to photograph Your Easter Pups as well.  You can receive a 5x7 Photograph of your dog! Details will be provided tomorrow during the Hunt! There will also be wonderful prizes you could take home! I encourage you all to come!

All other details you may wanna know are on this flyer:

I Hope To See You All Tomorrow!

A Little Note!

The views on the blog seem to increase at a very steady rate! We also continue to get more and more emails interested in our photography, and I am very thankful for that!.
Hopefully in the coming days we will have some sort of pricing guide up on the blog that you all can go by.  As for now, you all can continue to email me individually.  I do apologize if it is taking a couple of days to get back to you all.

On the Easter Egg Hunt front ;-)
I wanted to inform everyone that wants to get their pups out in the open air that if the weather does not permit I was informed that the event will be held next Saturday the 23rd.
Unfortunately, I am supposed to work my full time job that day, and as of right now I am scrambling to find someone to fill in.  However, do not fear, I do work with some great people, so I am hoping someone will trade. We do not want to miss this event!!

I have also edited the blog so that anyone who goes in can add a comment below a post if they so choose to!

Even Puppies Celebrate Easter!

The blog has been getting quite a few hits in these last few days, and I'm extremely elated about that.
We even have a new follower! Welcome!

A great opportunity has presented itself to us that we are happy to report we have now accepted. We have been invited by Dalmatian Rescue of SW Virginia to come out and photograph their Easter Egg Hunt for them. We see this as not only a great way to begin, but also an excellent way to help raise money for a great charity!

The Easter Egg Hunt will be held in Elliston Va
Saturday from 12pm-3pm.

All Breeds are Welcome!!

Please See the flyer below for further details.

COME OUT & CELEBRATE WITH YOUR POOCHES!!

LOGO! Ready To Go!

I spent most of my day today designing the Logo for the business. Then I spent the rest of the day redesigning it because my computer crashed! I know you are thinking it too... "WHY DIDN'T SHE SAVE IT?" I'm not really sure what I was thinking, but what I do know is that in that first 4 hours that I spent in Photoshop and on the net, I had really formulated a solid concept for how I wanted it to look. I knew the vibe and feel I wanted to put out for our business. Animals make us happy; I think that this is what this Logo reflects.  Hope you guys like it!

Just Trying To Get The Ball Rolling

Well as of right now there is no actual website for Furry Friends Fotography, so I decided that I would start a blog about it and that way I could update as I chose to and post new photos as I wanted.

I know there are many wonderful pet owners out there who would love to have quality pet portraits done who do not want to break their bank to do so, especially in these rough times. We can provide you with just those kinds of services. My husband and I absolutely looooove animals, and we love getting outside or even staying indoors and pulling out the camera and just snapping away.  The great thing about animals is they are always camera ready. No matter what expression is on that face, it's always adorable! Am I right? :)

We use a Nikon D90 and have Novatron Lighting (for indoor studio). For those who do not know anything about cameras, that would be considered semi-professional. My husband and I both use Photoshop CS4 for all touch-ups on photographs as well.  Later on I will post some "before and afters."  For now, here are a few of our shots!

We Do In Studio/Indoors

"Buddy- King Labadorable"

"Beagle Bailey"

As Well As Outdoors In A Natural Setting

"Plottin' In The Sun"

And This One Is An Award Winner!

"Junkyard Dog"
This boy here is one of my uncle's hunting dogs. Super sweet fella!
This photo won Honorable Mention at our college's photography competition in 2009!

As for now I am signing off. I will try and have a few more pictures up soon. I hope I have given you atleast a sample of the different types of photography, techniques, and editing we can offer.  There is so much more we can do, but hang tight! ;)
If you are interested in having your own furry friends picture's made please feel free to email us at

Until then Love Your Pets and Happy Tails!
